Comfort websites

I had  rough day today. It was one of those mornings where you wish you could go back to bed and start all over again. On these kind of days I find comfort in my favorite websites. A slight lift in my creativity is all it takes to put me in a better place. (and today I was going on a family outing so being in a better place was necessary)

My guilty pleasure of today is: FRILLA

I came upon this blog quite sometime ago and love to read even her oldest posts.  She has fantastic style and can direct you to some useful websites for your own personal projects. Check it out and let me know what you think.

I am currently working on a project of my own. I have taken the sheet music for the song my husband and I got married to and stenciled silhouettes of bird onto them and done some paper cutting. It's turning out alright. There are some last minute adjustments to be made but I will post a photo when I finish.

So what are you working on to inspire your locked up creative side? What are you comfort websites?

  1. This will be another great way for us to interact! First off, I think that you can take comfort in knowing that your ultimate goal was to go out and show your child a great time, regardless if the road there was rocky! We all have it happen to us.

I find comfort in relevance. Plain and simple. So, the fact that the artwork you chose to create had special meaning behind it makes it even more beautiful. Definitely post the pictures, because you such a great job!

This is the link for the artist, Nikki Mclure, that I mentioned:

The book that we have is All in A Day. I can show it to you the next time you visit.

For now, all of my thoughts and ideas for my surroundings are in my head and heart.

    Comfort Websites:
My cousin, Suzy, takes photos of Cornwall, where I was born. I have to check in frequently, because it helps in a bittersweet way to be apart of the Country in some way.

I am also inspired by the creativity and life that Heidi, from My Paper Crane is creating for her family.

It will be fun to share more as we go along.
